Zeporah Rodriguez's Testimony
I met my creative Portuguese "gypsy" husband Al Rodriguez at a Community Consciousness Dance in Santa Cruz California in the late 70"s. Neither one of us were believers in Yeshua, but searching for truth.
For two years, we traveled extensively throughout the United States. It was during that time I had a divine revelation of Yeshua as the Messiah and became one of His followers. Al and I settled in California then later moved back to my hometown of Rochester New York.
We had no children of our own, but God opened up the doors for nine years and gave us the opportunity to care for my older brother who struggled from a nervous disorder, although he did come to faith in Yeshua!
The Spirit placed a deep interested in my heart for Israel while leading a support group in California. Al however, wasn't interested, until one night he had a dream and Yehovah pointed over His shoulder and told him to COME! He knew that meant Israel!!!! It was bittersweet, since we had to leave Jerry behind per my parents request.
After living in Israel for three years my beloved brother Jerry accidentally died by choking. The grief and sorrow was so great but I found comfort in knowing he was now in a far more wonderful and better place.
As time passed, God opened up the heavens again to our delight and gave us two siblings from the Ukraine. After many trials and tribulations we were able to keep them and they would eventually join our family. They became permanent residents and are now fully assimilated into Israeli society.
Unfortunately my loving husband died in my arms almost a year and a half ago. He was a talented and creative artist. He loved painting the beauty and wonder of the sea and mountains of the Galilee. In his "prime" he painted large murals in private homes and businesses. Then in his later years he started doing pen and ink drawings.
Shortly before Al passed he expressed his sincere desire to leave a legacy of his artwork to help support me. I call it a "legacy with legs" since I do quite a bit of running around to sell his art.
My prayer is this Website be a blessing to everyone of you who are able to enjoy the beautiful and amazing art work of my late husband Al Rodriguez. We celebrate his life and legacy. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Al will live on in the hearts of his family and friends through the beauty he has created.
